Carbon Action Ratings System (CARS)

Mission   

To promote the decarbonisation of the Australian Economy.                              

How

1. By recording and reporting an entities carbon footprint.

2. Encouraging entities to show their carbon footprint on their invoices                           

3. Encouraging entities to initially become carbon neutral by                                                      

                   a.       changing the entities behaviour and activities                              

                   b.      buying carbon offsets  

4. Encouraging entities to become carbon positive by                                                        

                   a.       employers recording and reporting employee’s carbon footprint and encouraging employees to reduce their carbon footprint                  

In the inaugural year 2022,  the Carbon Actions Ratings Systems, will include two ratings logos for display on invoices and marketing material.

Carbon Offsetting Organisation

Classed as Carbon Offsetting on your invoices for the next 12 months. Our ratings logo is available for display on all your invoices stating the carbon included in the services provided is zero.

Carbon Verified Organisations

Not offsetting carbon footprint. Verifications of the carbon usage in tonnes and carbon dollar value. The carbon dollar value is averaged and applied to every dollar included in your invoice. Your customer now has the option to offset your invoice by paying a price inclusive of the carbon calculation. The additional carbon price paid is then collected by your organisation and offset to an accredited offset program.
